When you create your event website using the eventMaker software,
your participants can immediately register online for your event
and their data will be captured in an off-line, secure database.
The form has several error-checking and convenience measures built
in:
- Enforces required field designations
- Calculates total fees/amount due
- Prevents double registrations
- Username/password system allows
registrants to access previously entered contact information for
rapid registration for future events (See
Figure 4)
You build the registration form when
you build the website (See
Figure 5), with additional questions available as a customization
option. You can even add abstract submission capabilities to your
registration form with a click of a button. Immediately upon completion
of his/her registration, the participant is sent a confirmation
email containing the conference name, dates, and the password he/she
chose.
